WILLIAMS STABLES CHASING STRONG FINISH TO LANDMARK SEASON AT TAMWORTH
Thursday, 16 Jul 2026

As another racing season draws to a close, Holly Williams Racing will saddle four runners at Tamworth on Friday, hoping to cap off what has been a season of growth, consistency and exciting progress for the rapidly expanding stable.
Among the quartet is promising youngster Tiger Tiers, one of the stable’s developing two-year-olds who has shown plenty of ability and continues to improve with every preparation.
With the new season just around the corner, Williams believes this is one of the most exciting times of the year for young horses.
“These two-year-olds are starting to furnish into three-year-olds. They’re growing, maturing and becoming stronger, and this time of year often gives you a real glimpse of what their future might hold. Tiger Tiers has continued to improve and we’re looking forward to seeing where she can take us.”
While Friday’s meeting is important on the track, it also marks an opportunity to reflect on one of the biggest seasons in the stable’s history.
Holly Williams Racing has recorded 26 winners from 235 starters, while 78 runners have finished in the placings, producing an impressive 11.1 per cent winning strike rate and a 33.2 per cent place strike rate.(Racenet)
The numbers tell only part of the story.
This season has seen the stable double in size, a reflection of the growing confidence owners have placed in the operation. The expansion into on-course stabling at Tamworth has also been a significant milestone, providing improved facilities and setting the stable up for continued success.
“It’s been a huge year for us,” Williams said.
“We’ve welcomed so many new owners, expanded our team and moved into our on-course stables. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of, and none of it happens without our amazing staff, riders and owners who support us every step of the way.”
With a talented crop of young horses emerging, including Tiger Tiers and several exciting juveniles preparing to step into their three-year-old campaigns, the future looks brighter than ever.
The stable heads into Friday’s meeting determined to finish the season on a winning note before turning its attention to an exciting new chapter.
“There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic,” Williams said.
“We’ve got some lovely young horses coming through, a fantastic team around us and a stable that’s continuing to grow. We can’t thank our owners enough for believing in what we’re building, and we’re looking forward to hopefully celebrating plenty more winners, making even more memories and continuing to grow in the season ahead.”
